Uterine Uplift
Pelvic pain is not normal, and you do not have to live with it. The uterine uplift procedure is a quick (usually 15 minutes) procedure that corrects a tipped, tilted or retroverted uterus. An exam by Doctor Benson can quickly determine if this is the cause of your pain. Women with a tipped uterus may experience pain during intercourse, painful periods, infertility and chronic pelvic pain.
This procedure involves shortening and strengthening uterine ligaments to adjust the uterus into a neutral position. This is a laparoscopic procedure with no incision larger than 1/4 inch.
Your length of stay in the hospital is usually about 4 hours. You are able to resume normal activities in about one week.
